Double-A Zone

As mentioned here, Howard Smith is an NCAA employee and writer for the Double-A Zone, the official blog for the NCAA. He and Ryan Powell will be attended Saturday's game as part of a four day trip to cover 11 games in the "Indiana Basketball Extravaganza." Enjoy the game, gentlemen.

EDIT: They will be filming their travels and will post it here.

I had a thought about doing something like this for the Carolinas. There's a lot of schools down here. However, since I don't have a laptop until this time next week, the dream hasn't quite arrived yet.

It really would be a lot of fun. The problem with Indiana is that the trip will have to include a lot of bad basketball (though Purdue/Davidson should be excellent). If you could do it during conference play and catch 4-5 D1 games, it would be an awesome experience.

The same holds true for the Carolinas. Sure, there are some gems out there, like Winthrop and Davidson, and the big four here in the Old North State, along with Wilmington in one of their good years.

But, to offset that, there's Campbell, UNC-Greensboro, Elon, High Point, NC-Central...and those are the one that are within an hour drive of me.

However, I have been given the green light for this project from the Mrs. I just have to have the funds and the means.
