Player of the Week- Luke Harangody- Notre Dame

Freshman of the Week- DeJuan Blair- Pittsburgh

Two good young big men get the awards this week. Blair went 10/14 and 13/13. Harangody had 31/14 and 29/14. Tough to beat.

Again, I know WHY you did it (ND's win over UConn), but UConn HAS to be #2 this week...As good a week ND had, UConn's was much, MUCH better...

I'LL predict the rest of the BE blogs agree with me, last week's poll not withstanding

UCONN did have a better week, but has that extra league loss (at home to Providence) and lost to the Irish head-to-head. If Connecticut can beat ND in Storrs, the league records will be equal and there is no head-to-head disparity. Then, I think you have an excellent case.

We'll have to see how the Irish match up against Marquette at home (the Huskies beat them 89-73) to get a better look at how these two teams match up.
