Irish Football Just Keeps Getting Better

As if Pete Carroll leaving wasn't good enough, USC's knee-jerk reaction hire of Lane Kiffin is a glorious thing to behold. Not only is Kiffin fantastically unaccomplished as a head coach, he's one of the most despicable personalities in college sports. If Southern Cal wanted someone who could clean up the program's image or return the Trojans to perennial national championship contenders, they failed dramatically on both accounts.

In college hoops, Purdue dropped again and there's a good Big East matchup between UCONN and Pitt on tap tonight. After today though, the good games are on hold until the weekend.

Lets be honest, this team is not going to beat the top teams in the conference on the road this year....but these are the types of games that will make or break our tournament chances this year...

Games against the mid level teams such as Cinci, So.Florida, Rutgers, Seton Hall, and possibly Marquette become so important.

I have seen Cinci last two games, they have not looked good. I have seen our last two games, we have played well...

I am predicting a close Big East battle the entire game with the winner coming out on top by less than 5 or 6...I just hope we play tight D and hit our foul shots; if so, I think we will come out on top...

Go Irish!!
