I think we (posters)try to advance our points in a thoughtful, respectful manner. I am an X's and O's guy who enjoys looking at different things the great coaches in the Big East, and believe me they are great, are doing on defense. Georgetown's hybrid was something that caught my interest. Syracuse's zone is legendary. Pitino's pressure was relentless and obviously a product of practice and teaching. Despite the decline of the NBA (I have no interest), the college game remains a smorgasbord of different styles and strategy. I enjoy the discussion. As a former D-1 player it is somewhat discouraging to see players bashed. I can say with some certainty that the players want what we want - great performances every night and all wins. Regrettably, it doesn't always work that way.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37698030.post-75811130570093513732009-01-15T15:18:00.000-05:002009-01-15T15:18:00.000-05:00Not sure if you meant to capitalize the whole thin...Not sure if you meant to capitalize the whole thing, but point taken anyways.

The last two years we've seen a big improvement in local turnout. A couple years ago, there were only two sellouts even with an unbeaten record at home. Last year against UCONN and this season against Georgetown, we were able to create a loud environment without the students. Big difference.

It's frustrating, but you're right. I'd rather have criticism, constructive or overwise, than just plain apathy.BlackandGreenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08973328610673633428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37698030.post-90739035710041902112009-01-15T14:15:00.000-05:002009-01-15T14:15:00.000-05:00BEING THE SECOND MOST RESPECTED TEAM AT THE SCHOOL...BEING THE SECOND MOST RESPECTED TEAM AT THE SCHOOL IS ONLY PART OF IT, WE'RE ALSO THE SECOND MOST RESPECTED BASKETBALL TEAM IN THE AREA. MANY I.U. (BOBBY KNIGHT) FANS MAKE UP OUR FAN BASE. HAVING THE HOUSE FULL AT THE SETON HALL GAME WITH NOT MANY STUDENTS, I THINK SHOWS THAT THE TIDE IS TURNING. EVEN IF SOME POSTS SEEM MORONIC, ITS BETTER THAN NO POSTS. KEEP THOSE YELLOW SEATS FULL AND THE PROGRAM MOVING FORWARD. SOME GOOD PASSIONATE BITCHING IS A GOOD THING.Golden Monkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15566880133005131033noreply@blogger.com
